Edward James Olmos has joined the cast of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., according to Marvel.com.
Olmos will play Robert Gonzales, whose appearance is said to have “massive repercussions for Director Coulson and his team.”
Olmos is best known for his roles in Blade Runner and Miami Vice, and more recently for playing Commander/Admiral William Adama in SyFy’s Battlestar Galactica. Olmos is a two time winner of the Golden Globe for Best Performance by an Actor in a Supporting Role in a Series, Mini-Series or Motion Picture Made for TV, and was nominated for the Oscar for Best Actor in a Leading Role for his performance in Stand and Deliver.
Olmos will join the Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.cast when the show returns to ABC on March 3.
